18 months - 3 yr olds 

Tumble Tots - Your toddler will enjoy an exciting class of learning through movement. It will include circle time, balancing, tumbling, creative movement and free play. They will develop motor skills, social skills, listening and cooperation. This class is a fun way for your little tyke to channel their energy and learn coordination. This class is for boys and girls! 

3 - 5 yr olds

Tap/Ballet/Tumble - This combo class introduces fun and creative movement to class! This class is designed to enhance gross motor development, listening skills, tap technique and basic intermediate level tumbling. Ballet terminology is introduced to students as well as movements and proper technique. 


Ballet - A creative movement class designed to enhance gross motor development, listening skills, musicality and nurture the creative spirit. These classes introduce the young dancer to ballet. Dancers will learn new ballet steps, ballet terminology and participate in short combinations across the floor and center while enjoying social interaction and team work opportunities. Each class incorporates a formal ballet warm-up, introductory training of proper ballet technique, and combinations using ballet movements and technique.


Twirl Lilac - This class adds sparkle and shine to tap, ballet and tumbling! As a Twirly girl, your dancer will receive an activity book, a ribbon for her dance  bag and a certificate at the end of the season. Activity books will be utilized at least once a month during class and will be stored at the studio. At the end of the season, dancers will be able to take their activity books home for continued fun! At the end of each class, dancers will be giving a rhinestone for their ribbon. At the end of the dance season, she will have a super sparkly ribbon souvenir! At the end of season, we will host a mini-performance dance class to demonstrate some of the fun and unique activities we've learned through the year.  There is a 1 time $30 supply fee. 


4 - 5 yr olds 

Tap & Ballet - This class introduces proper ballet and tap technique. Dancers will learn new steps, ballet terminology and participate in short combinations across the floor and center. This class will enjoy social interactions and team work opportunities. 


Twirl Yellow - This class adds sparkle and merriment to Tap & Ballet!  This class adds sparkle and shine to tap, ballet and tumbling! Tumbling -  This class introduces basic-intermediate level tumbling/acro movement. During each class, students will learn a variation of stretches to ready their body and improve flexibility, safety tumbling and learn tricks across the floor and center.   


6 - 8 yr olds 

Tap/Ballet/Jazz - This class introduces a new level of movements and terminology. Training of proper ballet technique and combinations incorporating movements and technique learned from prior classes in addition to improving flexibility and strength. 


Ballet - This class enhances proper ballet technique and vocabulary. Each class incorporates a formal ballet warm-up and combinations across the floor and center incorporating ballet movements and technique. Students begin learning ballet history. 


Lyrical - This class introduces emotional story telling through dance. Lyrical incorporates ballet and jazz movements. 


Jazz - This class focuses on proper jazz technique while incorporating expression, personality and style. Flexibility, strength and control are highly focused in this class. 


Hip Hop -  Introduces the young dancer to the basic steps and movement of Hip Hop. This class introduces basic hip hop movements and terminology. Each class incorporates a warm-up, introductory training of hip hop movements and combinations using hip hop movement.


Musical Theater - Students will dance and act to Broadways favorite stories! Each class will incorporate a warm up, center floor and across the floor work, while learning how to act and show emotion while dancing.


Tumbling -  This class introduces basic-intermediate level tumbling/acro movement. During each class, students will learn a variation of stretches to ready their body and improve flexibility, safety tumbling and learn tricks across the floor and center.   


Steps of Praise - This class is lyrical based and uses only Christian music. Students learn about movement and expressing emotion through dance. Steps of Praise is FREE of tuition! 




9 & Up 

Ballet -  Introduces a new level of ballet movements and terminology as well as knowledge of how muscles work throughout movements. Each class incorporates a formal ballet warm-up, training of proper ballet technique and combinations using ballet movements and technique learned from prior classes in addition to this class.


Tap -  Builds on Beginning Tap with added difficulty and faster tempos. Each class begins with a warm-up and contains introductory training and combinations incorporating both ballet and tap movement.


Jazz/Lyrical -  This class introduces a new level of jazz movements and terminology as well as knowledge of how muscles work by focusing on strength and flexibility. Different jazz styles and performance techniques will be taught with an introduction of improvisation. Each class incorporates a warm-up, training of proper jazz technique and combinations using jazz and lyrical movements. 


Hip Hop -  This class introduces a new level of hip hop movements and terminology as well as additional tricks used in the hip hop form of dance. Different hip hop styles and performance techniques will be taught at a faster pace for exercise in choreography retention. Each class incorporates a warm-up, training of proper hip hop technique and combinations using hip hop movements.

Each exercise is designed for you to respect your personal physical limitations as well as comfortably challenge yourself.


Choreography 101 - Have you ever been in a class or audition, and when the teacher asks you to improv, you freeze? Did you know that having knowledge of the elements of dance can expand your dance abilities? Each dancer holds his or her own style of movement. Learning the tools of choreography will bring out each dancer's individuality. During the Fall, dancers explore the elements of dance, the art of storytelling through movement and finding ones own creative process. Timing, spacing, energy, body, action, emotion, etc. In the Spring, two students are selected to be the class choreographers to create his or her own piece for the annual Recital. These choreographers will pick their cast and teach their creation under the direction of the instructor. Students who are enrolled in Choreography 101 must also be enrolled in an additional level class.

Cheer 

Pre-Cheer (3-6 yrs) - This class introduces students to basic level cheerleading. The students will begin with stretching and work on basic cheer jumps, basic tumbling, motions and beginner cheer stunts. Cheers, chants and dances will be learned that are fun, simplistic and age appropriate for toddlers and young girls.


Cheerleading L1 - This class learns all aspects of cheerleading. The students will work on cheer jumps, squad jumps, motions, facials and formations. Intermediate level cheer stunts and tumbling will be taught as well as cheers, chants and competitive types of cheerleading dances.


Cheerleading L2 - This class builds on all aspects of cheerleading. Students work on more advanced cheer jumps, squad jumps, motions, facials and formations. Intermediate stunts and tumbling will be taught as well as cheers, chants and competitive types of cheerleading dances. 


CheerNastics (7 & up) - During this class, students will work on Cheerleading Tumbling skills. This will include standing tumbling and running tumbling passes. Students will also work on cheerleading jumps and motions. 


Level 1 (Students must be approved by instructor) 

Ballet -  Advancement is based on correct placement, skill mastery and instructor recommendation – not by age – which means classes have a variety of age levels. The class introduces an intermediate level of ballet movements and terminology and begins exploring original choreography from ballet variations. Each class incorporates a formal ballet warm-up, training of proper ballet technique and combinations using ballet movements and technique learned from prior classes in addition to this intermediate level class.


Ballet Production - This class learns a 20-25 minute themed piece that is performed in all four Recitals. Dancers are required to audition for lead roles in the Ballet Production. Students must be enrolled in ballet to participate. 


Lyrical/Contemporary -  Advancement is based on correct placement, skill mastery and instructor recommendation – not by age – which means classes have a variety of age levels. This class further develops student technique through more intricate and complex across the floor and center floor combinations. Further description detail about emoting are taught throughout this class. Students must be enrolled in a ballet class.


Tap -  Advancement is based on correct placement, skill mastery and instructor recommendation – not by age – which means classes have a variety of age levels. This class focuses on developing a strong sense of coordination and agility.


Jazz -  Advancement is based on correct placement, skill mastery and instructor recommendation – not by age – which means classes have a variety of age levels. This class introduces an intermediate level of jazz movements and terminology and begins exploring elevated levels of turns and leaps. Combination instruction will be taught at a faster pace focusing on style, flexibility and incorporating more difficult technique.


Hip Hop -  This class introduces a new level of hip hop movements and terminology as well as additional tricks used in the hip hop form of dance. Different hip hop styles and performance techniques will be taught at a faster pace for exercise in choreography retention. They will work on basic tumbling including forward rolls, bridge ups, handstands and cartwheels along with basic acro skills

Ballet Production -  This class learns a 20-25 minute themed piece that is performed in all four Recitals. Dancers are required to audition for lead roles in the Ballet Production. Students must be enrolled in Ballet to participate. 


Lyrical/Contemporary -  Advancement is based on correct placement, skill mastery and instructor recommendation – not by age – which means classes have a variety of age levels. This level incorporates more emotions and inspiration while utilizing jazz technique. Students must be enrolled in a ballet class.

Specialty Classes 

Drill Team Prep (Ages 12 & Up) - Do you dream of being on drill team? This is the class for you! This class will help prepare you for drill team tryouts. Learning what to expect as a drill team member – kicks, splits, technique and basic drill team moves. This class will concentrate heavily on kicks to improve on your kick technique and help develop coordination, body form, flexibility, rhythm and balance.  Our students have great success in making the drill team! Many have made Captain, Major, 1st Lt. or Lt.


No Boundaries (Special Needs)  - Encore is proud to offer a very special dance class for children and adults with special needs! This class is free of tuition for all ages, both boys and girls. Students in this class improve motor skills and build confidence and self esteem.


Kids Cardio Dance Jam (Ages 5 & Up) -  This class is a fun, high energy class for kids with easy to follow dance choreography. CDJ is an encouraging environment for all ages! Come dance with us to all of your favorite hip hop, pop and current dance music. This class does not require registration, drop ins are welcome!


Adult Cardio Dance Jam (Ages 18 & Up) -  This class is a fun, high energy class for adults with easy to follow dance choreography. An hour on the treadmill can sometimes feel like an eternity. Come get your daily dose of cardio and actually have fun doing it! CDJ is an encouraging environment for all levels...even beginners! Come dance with us to all of your favorite hip hop, pop and current dance music. This class does not require registration, drop ins are welcome!
